From Far East to Southwest

I am an amateur photographer and avid traveller. After nearly a decade-and-a-half living in China, Japan and Singapore, I now live in Exeter in the UK.

I’ve been exposed to photography since before I can remember. My parents met while studying photography in Plymouth and later went on to do it professionally. After seeing the digital revolution sweep away a hard-learned analogue craft, I was never tempted - nor encouraged - to follow in their footsteps. But they always made sure I had a camera with me when I went travelling. I sought out work that enabled me to travel and see the world and pursue photography as a hobby.

The combination of a young family and the onset of a global pandemic has all but put an end to my photographic adventures (at least for now). So this site is as much an exercise for myself as it is for an external audience - an attempt to organise my favourite photos in one place. I welcome any feedback or comments, and have made available a range of images for sale as Fine Art prints.

I have a small income from stock images, and have had a number of photographs featured in the UK-based Travel Photographer of the Year competition.
